1. Art is one of the most valuable things we have. It is also one of the most inexplicable. There are no criteria. It is hard to write about. Most art writing is incoherent. We think it should be clear and straightforward.

2. A generation ago there was a range of dissenting opinion about what deserved our attention. Today Postmoderism rules. Dissent is not tolerated. Dialog has become monologue. We want dialog back.

3. The Postmodernist manistream has become dull; its theory and writing are nonsensical. We need to say so and present an alternative.

4. There are many who know this, want to hear about it, and need a voice to talk about it. But they have been browbeaten and intimidated, especially in academia. We will publish anything that is clear, intelligent, spirited and dissents from the status quo. Let us be your voice.
